fessura small

The Fessura Lamp designed by Claudio Silvestrin is now in production by Platek.

As it is on the Earth and in life, at some point we might perceive a crack a crevice, a slit. Cracks in the rocks in the walls or on the roads. Cracks in the trust between friends or lovers.

Maybe for fear or weakness, these cracks in life are perceived as failure or misfortune. Forgetting that this is letting the light in. This light isn’t only illuminating but is allowing us to see beyond the wall, revealing the possibility of other worlds.

Each of these cracks is a spiral that life itself allows us to see the light.
This has been the thought process behind the lighting body “crack”. Contemplating the starry sky upon seeing the slit of light from a falling star…I imagined this lighting body capable of projecting itself to infinity.
